Welcome to the 3rd Annual TURKEY GAMES! My biggest challenge always seems to be right before Thanksgiving, even more so than Christmas. So, to save my sanity, to continue engaging my students, and have a somewhat peaceful classroom, I created the Turkey Games. My students are reviewing concepts that we've covered since the beginning of the school year and earning badges along the way. The BIG prize is.... drum roll please... a DRUMSTICK (the ice cream version.) To earn their badges, some of the activities are online. I use www.thatquiz.org, www.quizizz.com, and www.edpuzzle.com for my students to complete and then I get a record of their responses. The beauty is that it makes grading before the break a breeze, I can work with students who need intensive help and reteach concepts that we haven't touched on in awhile, and the kids are actually motivated to work (I've already had several that have never asked for help, volunteer to come in at lunch to work on badges so that they can get ahead!) The students can work on these badges at home or in class and they can always ask me questions through classroom.
